Situated within the beautiful rural hamlet of Lower Vobster but close to many of the South Wests best attraction's we are perfectly placed for you to relax and rest or go out and explore.
For those who have never stayed with us before...
Will we be warm?
Yes, our Yurts are Monglioan imports, well insulated and with electric heating plus professionaly installed wood burning stoves. Each Hut has electric heating and a wood burning stove.
I hate the thought of a compost loo especially if its shared!
Both Yurts have heated private shower, sink and toilet units placed directly behind them. Huts are en-suite with shower, sink & toilet. Our water treatment plant converts all waste to clean water so all nice and eco!
Will I have enough space !
The Yurts are 6 meter and can sleep 6 people comfortably with room to spare. The Huts although smaller are just right for two people, with a table, micro kitchen unit and decking outside.
What about cooking ?
We have found that most guests love to BBQ but dont want to spend their leisire time cooking. Each Yurt has a 2 Ring Hob, BBQ, Dutch Oven, Toaster, Minifridge. Each Hut the same except no Dutch Ovens. You can also just pop down to the Inn for supper especially if you have young ones and have been out and about all day!
I feel faint if I'm too far from the internet!
We would always encourage you to relax and unwind but if you do need to "tap in" 3 & 4g is accessible on the hill (depending on your carrier & phone) and free WIFI is available in the Inn at normal opening times.
Is there enough to see and do in the Area?
Longleat Safari Park Gardens and House, Historic Bath, Frome Market Town, Nunney Castle, Bradford Upon Avon and Canal all within 20 minutes.
Glastonbury, Wells and its Cathederal, Clay Hill Iron age Fort, Shepton Mallet Prison, Stourhead House and Gardens all 20 to 30 minutes away.
Historic Bristol, Stonehenge, Salisbury and its Cathederal, Wookey Hole Caves and Cheddar Gorge, The Jurrasic Coast, Fleet Air Arm Museaum all 45mins to an hour.
You will be surrounded by nature. Imagine waking up to birdsong and hot Croissants off the wood burning stove! Kingfisher’s, ducks, moorhens, dragonfly’s, herons, roe deer, peregrines and otters are all frequent visitors.
Cars are left in our Large Car Park and there is a walk or approx 120 metres to Buttercup, Daisy and Shawn along a gravel road.
Pippin is situated at the bottom of the hill.
Within an easy stroll down the hill is the Vobster Inn which serves freshly made food, real ales and carefully selected wines. Please note the Inn is closed for Food and Beverage Sunday Evenings and all day Monday, except for Breakfast.
If you would like to enjoy Breakfast or Dinner at the Inn, to avoid disappointment please pre-book a table as soon as possible!
